A Wisconsin family. A Doberman and a Vizsla. And a refusal to compromise on quality.
Mike, Melissa, Riley, Lexy, and Pandora — The heart behind Farmhouse Pet Supply.
We got tired of replacing cheap products every few months.
We’re Mike and Melissa — a husband-and-wife team from the Midwest who decided to pour our energy, passion, and experience into building something of our own: Farmhouse Pet Supply.
Melissa has been a dog lover since she was a kid, while Mike has always been more of a cat person. (Let’s just say, when it came to launching Farmhouse Pet Supply, you can see by our XXL dog crates who won that debate!) That playful back-and-forth has always been part of who we are — but what unites us is a deep commitment to pets and the people who care for them.
After years in corporate leadership roles, we realized we could take what we’d learned about innovation, operations, and customer experience and put it into something we truly believed in. Instead of creating just another pet supply brand, we set out to solve the real frustrations we saw in the market: complicated products, impersonal service, and corners cut on quality.
That’s why every one of our products is thoughtfully designed here in the USA, starting in our Wisconsin home, where we test, refine, and improve with one simple goal: make life easier and better for pets and their owners.
For example, when we saw that XXL 54-inch dog crates often required two people to wrestle them into place, we knew that had to change. So, we designed ours differently — strong, safe, and simple enough for one person to set up in minutes.
But product design is only part of it. Just as important to us is the way we treat our customers. At Farmhouse Pet Supply, you won’t get shuffled off to an offshore call center or a faceless queue. When you reach out, you’re talking to real people in the Midwest who care about pets as much as you do — and depending on the day, you may even get one of us on the phone.
We believe pets are family, and that’s how we run our business: with care, quality, and a personal touch you won’t find at the big-box stores.
Farmhouse Pet Supply. Better products, personal service, and a family who stands behind it all.
Thank you!
It started with a crate. We needed a 54-inch wire crate for Riley—the kind that giant breed owners know only one company makes, or else they look like a jail and are too narrow and short.
That single option required two people to assemble, weighed over 80 pounds, and demanded tools or fiddly pins just to set up. Forget portability. It was built to stay put forever.
We wanted what small dog owners take for granted: one-person setup, true fold-and-go portability, no tools required. A crate that works the way life actually works.
So, we asked ourselves: if no one else will build it, why not us?
Our flagship product, Hero Pee Pads, was born from necessity. We had a Saint Bernard, so we bought the biggest pads we could find—37 by 54 inches. They failed us. They leaked through to the floor. They couldn’t absorb what the packaging claimed. They trapped zero odor. Basically glorified paper towels designed in China by companies that have never seen a large breed dog.
The worst part? Every competitor claimed they’d solved these problems. They hadn’t. These are foreign companies with no U.S. presence—they can make any claim they want with no consequences if challenged. We’re a Midwest family business. Our name is on every product we sell, and we stand behind it.
So we engineered something different. We used the same materials found in premium diapers, including the world’s best Japanese SAP (super absorbent polymer). Our benchmark? What we call the Sock Test: if the pad was just used and you walked across it two minutes later, would your socks stay dry?
Ours was designed to pass that test. 37 by 54 inches done right. 24 hours of protection, leak-free backing and sides, odor lock-in using the best materials in the world including Japanese SAP. Not marketing fluff—actual performance.
That same philosophy guides everything we do. We don’t cut corners. We don’t compromise. We build products that we’re proud to put our name on, because our family’s reputation is on every box.
Every product is tested by our own animals before it ever reaches yours.

We're not here to build a brand. We're here to solve the problems the big companies ignore—one well-made product at a time.
